TheAmulets

Amulets are conceived as protectors: intimate enough to be held, yet carrying the mythology of the entire exhibition. Their keeping, by all who bear them, forms an eternal bond with Auriea’s practice and affords special benefits when collecting additional works.

This is a limited series of unique, hand-finished sculptures in marble, ceramic, and pewter. Each sculpture will be paired with a digital counterpart – a spatial Gaussian-splat portrait recorded on Ethereum.

Select your Amulet

These very special and limited works are a way of unifying her closest collectors and supporters. At once, they are an invitation to The Feast of Treasures, an offer of discount on a piece from her catalog and new body of works, and a unique bond to the future of Auriea’s practice.

Note that some Digital Amulets (gaussian splats) are still being tuned or reshaped.

Collectors Are Invited toa Private Ceremony:

The FeastofTreasures

On the eve of the exhibition’s opening, the Amulets gathered before leaving the artist’s world. At this exclusive ceremony, Auriea will then name each work as it’s entrusted to its living Bearer.

The stories, wishes, protections, and meanings held by each Amulet passed from artist to collector in a naming ceremony where they set the show’s display and become custodians of both the physical Amulet and its digital double.

This exclusive ceremony included a feast, ceremonial procession, and a sound performance by artist Rena Anakwe in front of Auriea’s new generative video work The Dance of Death and Time.

An essential ritual of naming, keeping, and passage.
