This solo exhibition showcases a trove of new vessels, monuments, carvings, and intimate Amulets that inhabit a chamber of passage – an environment shaped by death, rebirth, memory, and transformation. Each piece is an offering, a protector, a symbol of what comes to pass. The mythologies and personal lore expressed and reworked throughout Harvey’s practice feed these forms in marble, faience ceramic, wax-covered resin, milled wood, bronze, and generative video.
With an iconic practice recognized across generations of media arts, Auriea’s work moves between screen and object, each in full embrace of the other. Her unrelenting pursuit of new techniques, materials, and methodologies continues to drive the unaffected, raw authenticity of form and texture that’s at the heart of her work.
Her work has been exhibited at institutions including the V&A, the New Museum, ZKM, HEK, MoMI, Rhizome, SFMOMA, Buffalo AKG, The Whitney, and more.
